Experienced fintech investors

Hans Morris is managing partner of Nyca Partners, a fintech VC in New York and San Francisco founded in 2014. Nyca has over 90 active investments and is currently investing from its fifth fund. Until recently he was the chairman of the board of Lending Club. He is a board member of several private companies, including Tandems, Thought Machine, Astrada, SentiLink and Gr4vy. From 2010 to 2014 he was a managing director at General Atlantic. From 2007 until 2010 he served as president of Visa Inc., and from 1980 until 2007, he worked at Citigroup in several operating and management roles, including CFO and head of finance, technology, and operations for Citi's institutional businesses, COO of the investment bank, and head of the financial services group at Salomon Smith Barney. He is a trustee of the Public Theater in New York and a former chairman of the boards of MASS MoCA and the Hopkins Center for the Arts at Dartmouth. He graduated from Dartmouth College.

Prior to joining Nyca, Ravi spent 25 years in global leadership roles at Citigroup and JP Morgan Chase, including heading bank capital market operations, corporate bank technology and operations, and KYC/AML operations, and leading large-scale strategic reengineering of the financial infrastructure. He is a graduate of Indian Institute of Technology and Asian Institute of Management.

Prior to joining Nyca, Stephanie was a Vice President at Goldman Sachs in the Investment Banking Division. Stephanie has worked across both Sydney and New York as part of the Financial Institutions Group, with a focus on financial technology. Stephanie received her Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws from the University of New South Wales.

Prior to joining Nyca, Jasleen was a Principal at CE Innovation Capital, focused on investing in Fintech and Enterprise Software, and prior to that worked at JPMorgan in the Technology Investment Banking Group. Jasleen has worked across both New York and San Francisco throughout her career. She received her BS in Economics from New York University and an MS in Accounting from CUNY Baruch.

A two-time former regulator, Matthew most notably served as the primary regulator for many leading digital asset firms in the United States. As Executive Deputy Superintendent at the New York State Department of Financial Services, he oversaw the licensing and supervision of digital asset firms and was responsible for the Department's broader innovation agenda. Matthew previously worked for fintech company Plaid, the FDIC, USAID, and Deloitte. He has also served as an advisor to institutions such as the Aspen Institute, UN Capital Development Fund, World Bank, and Cambridge Center for Alternative Finance. Matt holds a master's degree from the Harvard Kennedy School. He also serves on the boards of Gemini Trust Company and Standard Custody & Trust Company (a Ripple company).

Prior to joining Nyca, he was a communications consultant for a decade, including working with us and dozens of Nyca portfolio companies over the past five years. Before consulting, Mr. King had various in-house communications roles over 15 years at several institutions, including Deutsche Bank, Credit Suisse, Citigroup and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Mr. King graduated from McGill University.

Prior to joining Nyca, Greta was a Senior Associate at KPMG in the Deal Advisory group, providing M&A financial due diligence advice to private equity and corporate clients. Prior to KPMG, Greta worked in public accounting in both New York and Montreal. Greta received her Bachelor of Commerce from Concordia University and is a CPA.

Prior to joining Nyca, Agastya was an investment associate on the FinTech team at Goldman Sachs Growth Equity, where he helped lead investments in Stripe, Newfront Insurance, and Contabilizei. Agastya graduated from Dartmouth College with a degree in Computer Science.

Shazeem joined Nyca from Equal Ventures, a seed-stage venture fund, where he invested in retail and supply chain startups during his MBA at Columbia Business School. Prior to that, he was a Manager at Accenture Strategy, where he led 15+ engagements focused on new ventures, GTM, marketing, and product strategy across financial services, retail, media, and technology. Shazeem holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BS in Aerospace Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.

Prior to joining Nyca, Deanna served as an Audit Associate at Ernst & Young, specializing in the Wealth and Asset Management sector. Deanna received her BS in Accounting with a minor in Information Systems from Loyola University Maryland, and her MS in Accounting from New York University.

Prior to joining Nyca, Lauren was an Office and Event Manager at BelHealth Investment Partners. Prior to BelHealth Lauren has had administrative and marketing roles at Avenue Capital Group, JP Morgan Chase, and Alliance Bernstein. Lauren received her BA from Bloomsburg University and also a Pastry Degree from The Institute of Culinary Education.

Prior to joining Nyca, Celine was a Senior Paralegal at the Queens County District Attorney's Office. Prior to the Queens D.A., Celine has held administrative and support roles with the New York State Assembly and Stephen Einstein & Associates, P.C. Celine received her BA from the State University of New York at Albany.
